| Post subject: | HEI conversion with Accel Super coil? |
I have done the HEI conversion with a Blaster coil and the ballast removed, and it worked fine (on the street so far). Now I want to do another but have not yet purchased a coil. I have a good Accel Super coil (the old 140001) laying around and I am wondering if it will work okay in the same conversion (ballast removed)? Thanks! ________ Dodge Durango |

What's the primary resistance of the Blaster coil? What's the primary resistance of the Accel super coil? If it's the same, I don't see any problems with it working. |

Well, the Super Coil factory numbers are 0.7 ohms primary and 11.8K ohms secondary, but I have no idea about the Blaster. Guess I will give it a try. ________ buy cheap vaporizer |

I have a 140001 on my HEI conversion and it works just fine. It's an old, heavily used coil and has stood up well.
