Check the axle ratio code HERE or at a similar site. The ratios went down to 2.50 or so - not much fun.

Planning to do the Ford 8" rear swap in my '73 Dart 4 door, but don't know what donor car to search for. Want the rear to be as close a fit to my original 7-1/4" as possible. 60's Mustangs? Early 70's Fords? Anyone know? Thanks! ________ Ford Windstar picture |

65-66 Mustang or 71-77 Maverick are very close to stock 7.25" Mopar width, Maverick is closest and Mustang is slightly wider (0.3" or so each side). Make sure you get a 5 lug model as many were 4 lug. Lou |
