I found a 4-door 72 Dart today in the junkyard. It has the 4-piston disc brake set-up. Is it worth grabbing or would the 73-76 set-up be better?

If you want to keep your small bolt pattern wheels, then definitely grab it. If you want to switch to big bolt wheels, then go with the '73-76 discs. The later ones are easier to get parts for, and cheaper. I know the 4-piston KH ones I just put on my '68 work great, but I don't have a direct comparison to the later 11" ones. If you get the junkyard ones, measure the rotors and make sure they're at least 0.790" or so thick. You probably won't be able to turn them, but the junkyard ones I bought were fine without turning, and have been great. New rotors and calipers are spendy (like $100 each) for the KH, but you can rebuild the calipers.

Cheers,

Lou
