No this one is going to be a weekend cruiser. I am planning an 833OD swap to help with the milage on the Valiant. I have a set and a half of polished aluminum slots for the dart, it needs to have the front suspension rebuilt(parts came with the car, and I have to get the brakes working correctly. I will get some interior pics posted soon.

Here is an interior shot. The carpet needs a good scrubbing then to be dyed black again, plus a few other things need attention.

I stopped on the way to the Pittsburgh slant race in Harrisburg and got my antique tag for the Dart. It took a while because the woman that first looked at the pictures thought she could see damage. I pointed out that a dark car with shinny paint will pick up reflections. She had to give the pics to some one "upstairs" he couldn't find anything wrong with the car. $97.50 later and it is registered for life. :D

Oh you lucky dog...

I would go for the sub 100 bucks for life, as opposed to Maine's taxed for life, pluss 25 bucks a year for the registration program in a second.

Here in New England we have a nice device called an "Excise Tax" where the vehicle is assessed a tax each year it is on the road by the town. It stars out at 22 mills of the sticker price in Maine, and the mill rate reduces over the next six years and then remains constant. This great tax is levied on boats, ATV's, tractors, trucks, motor homes, and just about anything with a motor in it.

For example my 67 Dart costs about 10 bucks each year, my new 300 cost me close to $850 the first year, dropped to the mid 600's this second year, and my 82 LeBaron Convertible is holding around 50 bucks a year.
