Mike broke out at 6 cars against a 10 second car he had in the bag. :(

Mike has an '80 Diplomat 2 door that he is running in NHRA V/SA. He has applied his finesse to it and the car is capable of running 1 second under the index. It is a Super Six motor.

He needs to remove some fineese. Tree'd the other car real bad and then broke out. JK

Been there, done that... waaayy too much.
In Mike's defense, it is really hard to look over your shoulder and judge closure when your opponent is running a much faster car, they go by you like a shot, at the finish line.

Yep. Mike is getting an education in the finer points of driving a slow car, especially the dialing it in part. Atmospheric changes that slow a fast car down .04 will kill his car .2-.4, and you can never tell which. By the same token, changes that will make a fast car pick up .05-.1 will pick up a slow car .01-.2, and you can never tell which.

Mike is doing a great job driving a car with the aerodynamics of a barn. :D :D :D

Yup. But unless the faster cars driver, has a lot of experiance, they tend to get nervous sitting on the line for 6 seconds.
