Also interested in the Dutra Duals. Is it possible to get a pic so we can see them. What about cost and performance. How do they compare to 3 to 2, or 6 to 1 headers? Any special mods needed? usclstaffingnet@sprintmail.com |

Any : special mods needed? The cast iron dual manifolds are more expensive then the tube steel headers but over time, they are a better value. (they will last a lifetime or two) Performance increase is in the 6 to 10% range, (how you set-up the exhaust pipes has a lot to do with the power increase) better mpg and power. There is a noticable increase in throttle response and a nice sound. For all out racing, headers are the best way to go. Others Slant Sixers running the set-up can give you their views but I can say that I have "Dual Dutra Duals" on my 68 cuda with a mild 225 running 14.70's and my 3600 lb 66 Dart wagon gets 20 mpg using a "with heat" set. Here is a link to more info. and lot's of photos: DD Dutra Duals, Cast Iron Dual Manifolds |

The reason I'm asking is my daily driver will have Dual Dutra Duals, but I can't decide if I want dual pipes out the back, or 2 into 1 like the pic you have on your site. This is a mildly modified, very reliable daily ride. Would there be much of a performance difference, either way, between one exhaust pipe, and two? Thanks a lot! Wes Moeller A.K.A.
