I am busy restoring the chassis and suspension of my 68 barrcuda
Replacing brakelines, making things pretty as I go the flexible line between the rearaxle and body looked flaky so replace that as well
The shop making the lines asked me if I had trouble with low brake pressure
Yes was the answer .
The person who owned my car before me had large bore hydraulic hoses with an OD close to the correct instaled just before he sold the car they LOOKED OK bit beefy but OK
the ID of these things are just over 7mm - stock is 3.2mm
So Extra volume in brake lines - MS piston does not have the displacement plus the damn things expanded under pressure - and was the source of darkening brake fluid......
LOW pressure plus the things made bleeding the lines a nightmare
BTW the rear end looks SO cool will post pics
