My 67 Dart with factory front disk & 10 inch rear drums is in need of a new master cylinder cover gasket. Anyone know of a part number, or place where I can get one. |

Early last week I solved the problem by dressing the top of the master cylinder with a file to remove rust & crud. additionally I scraped off several rust deposits that had formed on the gasket preventing a good seal. At the same time I flushed out the hydraulic system, replace several two wheel cylinders, an a wee bit of brake line the some knuckle head routed over the caliper bolts, as well as all three flexible lines. The fix seems to be working fine. No more drooling from the top of the master cylinder, no pulling, and a nice firm peddle. |
