| Post subject: | Vac Adv Pod Arm Location |
I'm in the process of stealing the springs out of my old stock points dizzy. I'm trying to get the hesitation out caused by a inappropriate curve on the orange box dizzy currently installed on my stock 170 I see 2 locating holes for the pod arm on the orange box dizzy. The arm was located in the "inner most" hole on the plate. What's the effect of changing from one hole to the other and which hole would you start with? thanks for the input. |

Early-type vacuum pods (up to about '71) have an arm shaped so as to snap into the outer hole, which is the only hole on '71-down distributors. Late-type vacuum pods ('72+) snap into the inner hole, which exists only on '72+ distributors. There's no choosing which hole to use; for any given vacuum pod only one will fit/work. |
