Post subject:  dip stick oil pickup tubes

I have my 225 /6 all apart exept for the dipstick and oil pick up tubes. I think the dip stick tube is just pressed in, but am not quite sure about how to go about getting it out. Also, I think oil pickup tube is threaded in, but I haven't had any luck unscrewing it from the block with my hands. I don't want to break either one and am not crazy about the idea of putting vice grips or a pipe wrench on either one. Can you tell me how to get these out and if I'm correct?
Thanks

The dipstick tube can be driven out from the bottom of the block with an appropriate sized punch once the oil pan is removed. The oil pickup is indeed threaded in and a pipe wrench may be required.

Carefully use a pipe wrench on the pick-up tube, it will "un-thread" with counter-clockwise twisting.

Pop the dip stick tube out from below. I have a drill bit that is the correct size to just slide into the hole, then it hits the bottom edge of the tube and pushes it out, with some tapping.
