It fits right on there, you will need a 'light' throttle return spring (not the heavy version for the 1920... I would rebuild it if OEM and replace the jet since 1974 carbs had a #58 jet and lots of lean surge, up the jet to a #59 or #60 ... Good luck, -D.Idiot |

Depends. Is it a used one needing rebuilt? Is it a "remanufactured" one? (these are junk, don't buy one), is it a brand-new one? |

So-called "remanufactured" carburetors (also "factory rebuilt") are to be avoided if possible; their quality tends to be very low. See this thread for details. Sometimes you run out of options and have to take what you can get, but they're definitely well down the list of preferences. What kind of condition is your original carburetor in? If it's all there but just dirty, then a clean-and-rebuild with a quality kit might be enough. If it's farther gone than that, a more thorough refurbishing along the lines described in here . |

I have a 1bbl carb in my garage that I don't need; it came off of a '73 Swinger. If you want it, I'll let it go cheap. Like, pay the shipping and you can have it. I live in Texas, near Houston. |
