Hey Dan, you've described a couple times before how to slot brake pads to help prevent them from gassing out under heavy braking, but do you have any pics of how you oriented the slots on the pads? I know it should seem obvious, but I suck at visualizing something I'm not entirely familiar with. I figure I'm not the only one here like that, which is why I'm asking publicly instead of via a PM |

Groovy. I knew it had to be something simple. Thanks for spelling it out for me I'm going to do that with the ceramic pads on my truck, too. |

I have seen it done on drum shoes as well, but I am not sure of the proper orientation there. Greg |

If I were going to do this with drum brake shoes, I'd angle the slots so they went diagonally forward-inward as viewed from the direction of drum rotation. |

i slotted the liners in my 11" drums... very nice now on to the front disc conversion!!! |
