Does anyone have a ring gear carrier bearing adjuster on their bench or in a parts box. I need to know the size of the hex hole in the center, so i know what size nut to weld on a shaft to make a tool to loosen the bearings. I missplaced the tool i had sometime in the last 20 yrs. I forget the size so I will check it tonight and let you know. I think the screw adjuster style started in 69, a lot of earlier 7 1/4 had shims to adjust the carrier position. DD |
