$34 Harbor Freight tmp gauge shot the exhaust temps on my 198 idleing at 450 rpm. and the temps on the 74 Dart slant.

Exhaust was 385* to 405 with the open headers.

The exhaust on the Dart was 365-395* it sounded like it was idling too high.

I have modded my fuel line on the 198.

temp was 98* :)

Fuel temp on the Dart with the stock fuel line was 189*!!! :!:

Mid to upper 70's ambient temp didn't drive either one anywhere.

I bought one of those guns a few years back before everyone had one. I used to take it to the track and just check stuff under the hood of the red car. Got accused of cheating a lot because no one knew what it was. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

They are fun to play with.

I used it once to prove to a buddy that his '67 Valiant had the wrong sender in it for his temp gauge. He wouldn't believe me and had the radiator, water pump, and head gasket replaced. :shock:

Car still ran hot on the gauge. :lol:

He parted out the car. :?
