Post subject: Rocker Shaft

In process of building up a /6 and have a question regarding the installation of the new rocker shaft. The Service Manuel states to install with "Flat End Up and Towards Front of Engine". My new Federal Mogul shaft deoes not have a flat end. Can anyone give me precise installations?

The row of oil holes point downward and towards the manifold ports, kind of at a 4 o'clock position when looking at the rocker shaft from the front.
