When swapping to 73-up front disc brakes on 72- down lower control arms do you have to use the later lower ball joint or can you use the early drum style?

thanks in advance.
Ted

You need the later ball joint as the spindle is different where it bolts on.

Cool, that's what I already have. I'm swapping to 17x8 mustang bullit wheels & the outer tie-rod end is just barely hitting the rim. I need about 1/8" of clearance. I'm running 10 3/4" rotors right now so after a little research & some measureing I found the 11 3/4" rotors are about 1/4" taller hat so I think I will try the bigger rotors to hopefully give me enough clearance to not have to run a spacer.BTW I currently use the Moog LBJ's #K781/K783 does anyone know of another manufacturer or part # for LBJ for disc brakes (hoping maybe a different lower might turn in a little more to give some more clearance)
