I hate wiring but did my best to follow the diagram and look for any wires that may have been missed placed. I havn't been able to find anything out of the ordinary...where should I turn next? Sorry for the lack of knowledge but I don't know if they've ever worked sinced I bought the truck. The truck has been sitting in a shop for a couple of years and I never really drove it. Now i'm ready to get the tags updated but can't get the inspection til I figure out why my rear running lights aren't working. Also noticed my license plate light doesn't work. Every thing else works fine...head lights, high and low, front and side blinkers/side markers, rear left and right blinkers/ and brakes...What's causing this one little problem??? Joe

I would check for 12 volts at the back of the harness of the lights. Use a sharp test lead to "pierce" the insulation and see if you get your 12 volts. If you do you have a problem in the tail light assy. (maybe the bulb sockets) Another thought is the wrong bulb (happen alot).
If no voltage then trace forward as far a you can and repeat the process.
NOTE you must have your parking light switch on for your test.

Well was shocked to find they just started working last night. I went through all the connections and made sure they were all still tight. I'm thinking I have a loose connection some where but in the mean time it will do. Thanks for the replys
