I've been running this bar like this for 5 years. The mounts in on the k-member aren't perfectly straight on the bar. I guess I would weld in a wedge under the mounts to straighten the whole thing out. I think I installed it the right way but it's a funky thing. Are any of you guys running this kind of bar? Is there another way to mount it? Now I'm second guessing myself. Take a look MAndreas@aol.com |

: The K-member mount looks disturbingly like the : one on my PST bar on my 65 Valiant I just installed new sway bars front and back on my 65 valiant convertible. I talked with addco 4 times on getting the right front swaybar for my valiant that has 74 disc's in front. They finally shined me off and told me to call Saner performance in Florida and talk with john carlson who use to work for addco some years back. I was able to measure what I needed and place an order with John and he knew exactly what I needed. The front bar powder coated black with all brackets was $175 as was the rear setup too... I had welded the ears on the front lower control arms at the spot approved by Tom Condran the author of performance book for mopars. The front center mounts I put on a 1/4inch steel plate that I bolted to the K frame and hung studs down for the sway bar mounts to anchor to, this gave a straight line appearance on the front. Hope this helps... Brian in CA. 65 valiant 200 convertible 273 65 barracuda slant 6 225 jj1valiant@yahoo.com |

I'd love to see your setup. The way mine is now the front bushings are not straight and they wear. Your swaybar doesn't attach to the strut rods? Are your brackets under the k-member? Thanks Mike MAndreas@aol.com |

I should show you the mounts on my '64 and '68 Darts, they are beefed and welded ADDCO mounts, and I think the front ones on my '64 are the same type as yours. Let's try to get together this weekend if you have time. Lou |

All I need now is a cam. I think Mega Valiant 1.0 is going to be normally aspriated. I need to get this thing on the road. I tired of commuting 45 min a day in a 1960 MGA. SOO, I'm thinking about running a bit more cam for now. At least until I build my turbo motor. Let's talk soon. I'll order something and we'll get this thing on the road. I think I've got everything but a baffeled oil pan. Mike Boy, I need to update these pages MAndreas@aol.com |
