Hello,
I heard several good comments about GPRS in australia, so I sent out a money order on may 7 th, for intake/ Exhaust gasket and have not gotten a responce or parts from them yet. I have called them twice making sure to be considerate of the time difference, once i got a recording that was too difficult to understand, and the second call was answered by a woman who said that " yes I have the correct phone number , but the boys are still out at a car show but she will let them know i called" ??????????????
Now one month and two days and still no gaskets.

Just out of curiosity, did you send a green (US) or red (international) Money order. If green they probably won't be able to cash it. I know Canadians can't and probably the same elsewhere.

They're stand up guys and will make it right. I base this opinion on both personal experience and their reputation in Australia and the States.

hello Russ,
I have just rung GPRS re your "no gaskets" as they are right near me.
the story is:
as you sent a personal cheque, there is a 28 day clearance as it is international.
the cheque got to them on about 17th may.
they have emailed you 2 or 3 times re the order with no response.
so - after the cheque clears after 28 days from 17th May you order will be posted (air mail) and you should have it in 3 or 4 days from then.
hope you do'nt mind me sticking my nose in,but Nev and Kev run a good shop, and are usually pretty efficient .
I reckon you will have your order by the end of next week.

regards,Rod :D

A personal check...in American dollars...to Australia?! C'mon, be serious. And they're actually going to honour it? Boy, I surely wouldn't if I were in their shoes. Talk about an expensive damnuisance!

Americans, please keep in mind that just as those in countries where they speak a language other than English won't magically start understanding you if you just SPEAK ENGLISH REALLY LOUDLY AT THEM, Australia does not run on American dollars and won't magically start doing so just because you decide for some strange reason to send some there.

Please, folks, there are few enough good vendors for us as it is; let's all try to do our part to keep them from deciding it's no longer worth the hassle. International money orders and credit cards are really easy to use.

I've gotten two exhaust gaskets and one hotbox gasket from them in the past and was pleasantly surprised at how fast they got them to me. Plus they sent me links (in email) to Aussie Mopar websites. Definitely some cool body styles over there.

Some Aussie businesses use Paypal and there is also an Aussie equivalent, Paymate, which I have used in the past. Do NOT use Western Union! I did that once and it was an utter nightmare which took MAJOR effort on my part to untangle.

I'm sure there are sleazeballs in Australia, just like anyplace else, so maybe I've just been lucky. But, FWIW, I've never had trouble with any of my down-under automotive purchases, including stuff bought over e-Bay.

5 weeks is not that long considering you are dealing overseas & not dealing with an electronic payment . I would contact the vendor & check the status--- it sounds like you will get your part

I once sent a part to Australia & it took 5 months-- the buyer did not want expedited shipping, it went on the proverbial slow boat. Good luck with your situation, Lawrence
