I recently replace by steering box w/ a FF unit and have been trying to finally button everything up. The box is installed, the coupling is packed w/ a bit of havy grease and the gasket is over it. The sheetmetal cover w/ the 8 tangs on it does not want to stay on the coupler- it keeps sliding off. Any tips or tricks to hold this thing in place and securely stake over the tangs permanently ?? Thanks dave

There are very hard to reinstall.
An alternative is to use the reproduction of the facotry repair clip.
Look on this page for it.
