Does 80" sound right for the length of a speedometer cable for a '73 4-door Dart? That's the only lemgth I've been able to locate. Thanks! ________ jailbroken |

Sounds a little on the long side, to me. Believe you're after a 68" cable such as NAPA Balkamp #615-1659. |

When I installed all aftermarket gauges in my 73 Swinger, I had to get a new speedo cable with the threaded end (not clip) for the speedo (a 66 cable worked). All I could find were 80" cables. It loops around my master cylinder, but works fine. NAPA didn't carry the cables I needed, but in my search I did see that NAPA had the proper length cable for a 73 with the clip end, as Dan said. Anyway, depending on how soon you need it, I still have my old one you can have. I see you are in Chico. I live in Redding. |

Thanks guys! Turns out that our local NAPA had the 68" cable (or can get it in one day), so I bought it. Hopefully 68" is right. Update: It fit perfectly! ________ Mercedes-Benz 380 history |

No, the '60-'65 transmissions take a totally different cable. What transmission are you running? |
