So i broke my exhaust pipe off of my manifold. I believe that 2.25" pipe is the general agreement on pipe size. What do you guys think about getting the exhaust shop to bend out a new manifold with my stock intake?

I've heard that we're all ignorant, just about different things. I'm certainly ignorant about lots of things. This forum helps a lot with my /6 ignorance. That said, I'll confess my ignorance of the term "bend out" a new manifold. Does it mean to fabricate, as in to build a new manifold?

If so, with all the posts about various exhaust issues I've seen on the forum, I'd think that would be quite a task. Maybe he means to fabricate a set of headers. Lots of folk here have done, or had done, or bought headers with various results.

At any rate, welcome to the forum. I think you're right about the pipe size. Seems to me that pretty much any opening up of the /6 exhaust system makes for a noticeable improvement.

Yeah i mean have them make a new manifold as i think mine might have a crack as well. And i know i could probably find this info with a few min of searching but the search communication won't work on my phone and my computer died.

If your manifold is cracked, replace it. New ones (aftermarket) cost about $120. A pretend-manifold "bent out" by an exhaust shop would lack important provisions for the automatic choke and intake manifold heat control.
