What are the guidelines of knowing whether to replace the harmonic balancer or not during a rebuild? Is it a visual test to see if the rubber is in good shape? If so, what is passable, and what is not? Thanks |

My test.... if it spins straight. if the timing mark is in the correct position and there is no crack along the keyway, i will run it.  For units that have a bad groove on the seal surface, I will select a different style seal that rides on a different part of the surface or install a repair sleeve. DD |
