Post subject: | Stromberg Carb? |
I know its not for a Salnt six, but.. I have a Stromberg Aerotype AA-25 carb, can anyone tell me what it came off and anything else about it, or if there is a Stromberg website I may find more info. Thanks |

An AA-25 is a real oldie, from the mid-late 1930s. There is no Stromberg website (the name was used in America and Australia for carburetors made by Bendix; they were out of production in North America by '69, Australia by '77). Do a Google search on Stromberg AA-25 and you'll pick up some bits of info. |

I found a bit of info online, the AA-25 came out of Cadillacs and LaSalles. The carb was in my dads garage with his old stuff from way back. He had a late '30s LaSalle so that must be what it is from. Its big and heavy, but would bolt right onto a super six manifold!! Dont worry, not gonna try it. |

One of the best running carbs I ever put on my slant was a 2 bbl Stromberg from a Poly 318. The car ran great, but got bad economy. I probably could have fixed this with proper jetting, but simply put my BBD back on, which always was a fine carb. I had a '37 Ford once, and the carb you have was the trick carb for that flat head v-8. Sam |

This one wont bolt onto a Ford without an adapter, it has a 4 bolt base, the Fords had 3 bolt. |
