The car is a cruizer - 68 fb barracuda - koni shocks has arived - Just need to know witch material or combination of materials are best :D :D :D :D

4th variable: grilon+moly disulphure (luaded in the stock, makes it look dark grey)

Of those you mentioned, polygrphite is the quiet one that is firm.

That would be my choice.

This what you're asking has inspired much debate. Me, I would likely pick rubber, but if I were to use urethane it would be the graphite-impregnated type ("Polygraphite" is one brand), not the plain polyurethane.

Juan, can you tell us more about this Grilon material? Are A-body bushings available in it, or is this a custom deal?

I like poly in the rear spring bushings and front sway bar bushings. Polygraphite may be better and not squeak like polyurethane. Everything else is just fine with rubber.

I have heard that polygraphite in the lower control arms and rear spring bushings - and normal rubber for the rest gives the best combination


I would say the bushings on the sway bars as well

I would recommend polygraphite on the lower control arms only if you put zerk fittings in, and keep them lubed. Otherwise they collect water, and rust.

Since you say this car is a cruiser I would go rubber most everywhere except the sway bar end links and maybe the sway bar pivots. The handling gains from polyurethane in the control arms isn't worth the noise.

Interesting thing my rear spring rubbers:

The front ones look quite healthy after 40 years on the road the shackle bushes are totally shot -

Up front the stab bar link rubbers are gone - but the locating bushes? are fine
