Okay, I did a search, but I'm still not sure.
This is on my '78 Volare with the Offy 4bbl and 2bbl Weber DCNV36 with a 2bbl adapter. I'm using the top of a mid to late '60's 1bbl air cleaner, along with the bottom of a generic Mr Gasket 4bbl air cleaner, and a home fabbed adapter to hold down the air cleaner lid. It looks good, except the hood will not colse all the way. It's close though.
I'm wondereing if I can "persuade" (i.e. dent or ding) the noncompliant hood brace, or maybe cut out part of it?
I also considered a small hood scoop, but I'm not sure if I want to go that way. I do have an extra Volare hood to "play with".
It looks cool, it's just oh so close.
