Had the truck on the road for a couple months, but that "way-off" speedo has been bugging me. Finally figured it out. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n249 ... 000815.jpg Anybody else see the problem?

Drive across the border more often, then you'll be fine. :wink:

Doesn't look like a problem with the instrumentation.

I guess not. Just used to reading MPH not KPH! Apparently my truck was Canadian eh!

I distinctly remember two good jokes about that....

One being the complaint from the Canadian police that when Americans cross the border and see the sign that says '110'....

The other happened in Iraq, since we were assigned 'Import' trucks (Chevy or Ford trucks that are 'spec' for Saudi Arabia...)... one of my co-workers tryed to 'weasel' out from the MP's saying he was doing the 'speed' limit of '60' ... the MP's were pretty fast on the ball... the import trucks have the instrument cluster in metric...you really had to 'squint' to see the mph marks and numbers...

Heh.. when one of my best friends and I went to Canada last year to go snowboarding, I remember both of us being paranoid that we'd forget we were now in km rather than miles... and when we first saw gas prices, we had to do a double take. Then the guy at the hostel in Vancouver we were staying at reminded us it was litres, not gallons.. oops. :roll:

<frontside 540 rodeo> They let you back into America after riding in Canada?.....CBP must be loosening up....

<Hotboxin the gondola!>

The aggressive driver technique is to always drive the metric speed in Miles....."slow to 50Km/hr" >>>>>>>>done at 50 mph.

How do you like our metric dollars?
