my temperature gauge is not working properly. it is from a 1966 dodge dart 270, the one with the horizontal instrument panel. Now I doubt if these gauges are sold new in a box, so does anyone know of a shop or place that can repair these very delicate gauges?

And if I am wrong in assuming that no one sells the gauge new, who does sell such a thing?

Also the numbers on my odometer have rubbed off (odometer came out of its home and fell against the spinning speedometer cable, which rubbed the numbers off the cylinder).

Thanks for the help,
Caesar

Is this gauge actually in a '66 Dart? Or, more to the point, is it being used with the other gauges from a '66 Dart, particularly the fuel gauge? If so, does the fuel gauge work correctly? If not, then the instrument cluster voltage regulator is probably at fault.

There are gauge-repair and speedometer/odometer repair services advertising in Hemmings. I don't know if my favourite speedo repair place does gauges.

My fuel gauge does work properly and the gauge is currently installed in the instrument cluster. It was working at one time, and now it stopped again. I had replaced the temperature sending unit, so I know that is not the cause now.

I will give your place a call and see if they fix gauges of this type, and also continue to browse the internet for other options.

Thank you,
Caesar

You might look up real time engineering. They rebuild quite a few of the chrysler gauges and can do the faces as well. I don't have their info with me or I would post it here.
