Is there a circuit schematic available to retrofit a hazard flasher circuit in my 65 Signet? I suppose it would be smart and safe to have one. Thanks.

A hazard flasher kit was available as a dealer accessory. It plugged in between the two halves of the turn signal switch connector at the base of the steering column, and the switch mounted under the dash. These kits are seldom seen today, but the aftermarket also provided flasher kits. Here's one on eBay. If you miss that, Truck-Lite still sell the Signal-Stat Flarestat kit; most NAPA stores can order Truck-Lite products or look in the yellow pages for truck parts (or use Truck-Lite's own site to find a local distributor). Or if you don't like that one, NAPA will also sell you this suitably olde-tyme looking Echlin #FC6401 kit. Or, if you want to build it yourself, see KBB's instructions in this thread.

Thanks Dan, that was easy. Hopefully I win the Ebay one and it's an easy install. I appreciate the quick response. I sent an email to your lighting site about trying to find the elusive P3496 &7 bulbs for my '65 Valiant. Where does one find those?

Get 'em from Candlepower; direct links to the various bulb types are in this post.

I constructed a flasher harness for a 65 Coroent based upon one I had from an original 66 Dart. I decided to mount the switch on the floor bracket for the buddy seat (this part of the harness is quite long. I have no further need on this harness as the 65 Coronet is long been parted out. Pay the shipping and it's yours.
