| Post subject: | 65 Dart Tire Size |
I have a 65 Dart 4door and am trying to keep it all original. Can some one please tell me what size tires origanally came on this car? It has the factory 13 in wheels. Thanks! |

As I remember my Grandfathers 65 Dart had 6.50X13s. Don't know what the current sizing would be, but they where very high profile, like maybe an 80 . In 67 when the fiirst tires where shot, I think he got the "upgrade" 7.00X13s. |

6.50 x 13s blackwalls were the standard size. Next upgrade was the same size but in whitewall, Optional were the 7.00x13s blackwall then the same size whitewalls. I believe the equivalent size today is 175 or 185-80x13. Formula S Barracudas could also get the 6.95x14 blue streaks

The original was 6.50 13 (already stated) Equivalent diameter in new is a 185 80 13, which has become almost impossible to find. You can upgrade to 14" rims to keep the stock look. With 14 x 4.5" rims use a 185 75 14 With 14 x 5.5" rims usa a 195 70 14 or 205 70 14 Above 14" tires are equivalent diameters to the original 13" I'm using 14 x 5.5" with 195 70 14 on my 64 as an upgrade from the original 13s (see my sig pic) |

Thanks again for all the info. I'm going to try to keep it all original if passable. My wife inherited the car and it only has 63K miles on it. It hadn't run since 1988 until a few days ago. Its all original and nothing is missing. |
