Woodburn's 2008 Mopar Nationals were today. Been there, got the T'Shirt.
Richard and I drove up on our short gears and played in the sunshine!
We ran Sportsman with the rest of the thundering herd.Dave was there with his daughter's car, and made it the most rounds of our slantsix crew, despite all the cherry pits.
Doug was there with his 14 second E-85 burning car as well. It was giving him trouble early on, with a miss.
We ran into Wes after Fopar and I had been taken out of contention. We talked about various things slantsix before Fopar and I bugged out for destinations south. Hopefully we'll see Wes' car at the races soon!
I met Ray, who is building a slant six car for future racing endeavors. Hopefully he'll chime in soon and let us know more about his project.
We got four time trials in the morning. I bumped my best time up a miniscule fraction, so it's time to go update the 16 second section.
Richard talked to the track owner, and will have further clarification on the upcoming Points race particulars. He still needs to nail down a couple more issues.
