Post subject:  custom intake

I had made a custom steel intake a while back and I never told you guys how it worked. The sad part is that it most likely worked just fine but when I was trying it I was getting some pops out the exhaust and the one header tube was not getting hot, not even warm. So after few times of trying to figure it out I got sick of it and tossed it. Come to find out that 2 of the spark plug wires were mixed up, boy I felt stupid!!!!! The intake was gone when I found the problem. Now I started on a alum. intake and I will have pics of it soon. I will be sure not to touch the spark plug wires and hopfuly it will make some good power.

Hey Andrew,

Can I have the address of your junkman???
Seriously though, you should put that stuff up to sell to other tinkerers if you are sick of it rather than chucking it.

If the timing is right, I'll try to make it to your street slant shootout next year...

Keep up the fabricatin',

Lou

Ouch, that hurts! Look at the bright side, you got a good amount of sheetmetal and welding experience out of that unit. I bet the next one will be nicer based on what you learned.

I tend to not throw stuff away and I really do not know if that is good or bad. I know I have it, I just don't remember where it is!
