I just ordered 2 Bendix, (made in U.S.A. or Canada) rotors,#141132, 11 3/4'' for $27.99 @, from PARTSAMERICA. Napa wanted $92.XX for the same thing. Hope this helps someone doing a disc brake upgrade. |

I went through this a while back, and even tryed the 'mid grade' version and found that one box was from china, and the other box was labelled made in columbia, with another stamp on another side saying 'made in china'... Raybestos has one more grade in the $$$ range at about $134 a rotor... I wonder if they are chromed chinese too... -D.idiot |

I bought the top grade Raybestos rotors two years ago for a BBP conversion. They are good rotors and were made, if I remember right, in Argentina. May have something to do with A bodies being available outside of the US after they were out of production here. Last week I ordered the Top grade Raybestos rotors for my honda. In the picture on the web you can see "Japan" on the casting. When they got here the box said China. While they look ok, they don't have any markings on the rotors themselves. With chinese parts of unknown quality getting so expensive, it may be time to pay just a little more and use OE for that car. It is just going to get harder to find decent parts. You might try Delco? |

O'Reilly Auto Parts has the cheap "house" brand for brake rotors, pads, and shoes, which are made in China. The better brand for brake parts is "Wagner", which I'm pretty sure are still made in the U.S. |

Don't bet on it! Wagner = Federal Mogul = increasingly poor quality, mostly from the third world.

| Post subject: | Try Autozone |
I was in Autozone in Niagara Fall, NY yesterday and decided to take a look at what they had. In there duralast brand. I asked if they had any that were made in the US. They had four in stock one from China, one from Taiwan, and two from US. So I picked up one. Looks about a the same as the other one I got that said US on the box.. But who knows...the rotor itself had no markings on it so it could be made on the moon for all I know. But maybe looking in to. Only 45 bucks. |

I bought the cheap "house" brand shoes (and various other parts) from them, and they are labeled made in USA, assembled in Mexico. I have had no problems with them at all. At $12 for 4 shoes (brand new, not redone) , I think they are worth it, and they stop as good as "name" brand products.I am no pro, and thats just my opinon. |
