Seems that in my area of the country, there is an abundance of 1964 slant 6's, found 2, one thats been rebuilt about 20 years ago and siezed from sitting, has a 3spd manny on it, $100 for that one, then another 64 with an auto for $50 that was in a valiant that got written off in 68, has 60'000 miles on it, been sitting since 68 and is not siezed, can't seem to find any newer engines, pr they all seem to be thrashed, Do you guys think this will be an ok foundation to build my supercharged slant?

It would be a ok start although you may want to get a later (mid 70's) head for the improved combustion chamber.

The combustion chamber difference is small, not large, and begins in '67.
