: Is there a good forged piston with less than : 8.5 C.R. for the SL 6? not really sure. they say the 2.2 turbo piston is to low to use with a 225 rod but i wonder what the compression would be with the regular 2.2 piston flat top thats suppose to be 9.5 to one in a 2.2 would work out to be with the 225 rod? its part #p4876768 in the mopar performance catalog and its a hypereutectic piston but its listed for a 3.495 bore also. doc said one time that the 2.2 turbo piston worked out to 6. something to one with a 225 rod and regular stroke but i'm not sure what this flat top 2.2 would be. anybody know anything about these pistons? buddy_37@hotmail.com |

I talked to the guys at forward motion and they said they could get costom j@e forged pistons for 550$ for the set. Maybe if we order 2 sets it will be cheaper? andrew wagner Quote:

: Is there a good forged piston with less than : 8.5 C.R. for the SL 6? There were still some forged TRW 2.2 pistons in the Federal Mogal system a while back. There were only "std" size which would be a .045 o/s in a Slant. (3.445) These are flat tops and must be used with 198 con rods. (7 inch c to c) the top of these pistons are real thick (.375 to .400) so you can adjust the compression down to where you need it by machining the piston top. DD |
