I have found a guy with an alloy block. it is block only no internals. is it compatible with my 65 engine? and what is it worth?

Please see this thread on exactly this topic. Its worth is heavily dependent on its condition, and whether or not it is complete (including the unique upper/lower main bearing caps, etc.)

no caps and alot of corrision,scrap alluminum,,,,,with caps ,low corrosion,,and a high number,I will pay $500,so my guess is between $40, and $500.Mark

heres the link for the alloy block. if anyone is interested. I looked at it and it looked good to me. has all the bearing caps. and very little corrosion
