Well it happened again! LOL Every time I have my brother in-law help me with working on a car something else always breaks!! I had him help me with the timing on the Duster and today when I started it up I could smell gas and when I started backing out of the drive way there was a pool of gas on the ground!! And after looking at it to see where it was coming from I found he had broken the fuel line going into the fuel pump from the tank. So here is my qustion how long is that part of the line? At first I thought it was the one coming from the pump going to the carb, but it's not. |

About 8" on my 74 Dart. Use 30R9 fuel line so that won't happen again! I just switched all my lines due to the ethanol melting them........ |

Well the other day (Monday) I replaced that part of the gas line and started the car up and all looked ok, well today I was going to drive it and I started it up and was letting it wram up some and started smelling gas again so I get out and look under the car and sure enough it was leaking AGAIN! I can't get under it and look right now as it's too hot out right now! Could the fuel pump be leaking? |

Yes, the fuel pump can leak. Mine sprung a leak about 9 months ago so I have a new fuel pump. |

Well it turned out to be the fuel pump that was leaking. I went and got one from NAPA and it's all good now!!! |
