Would like to know where y'all get your manifold to head studs. I'm changing my intake and would like to install new studs. I used carb studs last time and a few of them were slightly bent when i removed them.
I have access to a Fasenall and the normal auto stores.
I checked through ARP and couldn't find them by application. Any help woul be much appreciated.

my truck came to me with the manifold stack in the bed.... the old buzzard had thought he had scrapped it, but his son came by while my son and me were loading it on a trailer and found it in the back of teh garage behind their lawn tractor. the carb and more were on the passenger floorboard, and among what was on the floorboard was a box of brand new Dorman studs and standard nuts. the studs were a bit long, but they worked. Looked like "old" Dorman not "everything's from China" Dorman. Anyone remember the days when the parts counter was one big Dorman cabinet? Carb linkage "Jesus clips", freeze plugs, wheel studs, lug nuts and more.

Had no luck finding Dorman studs locally, but the local Ace Hardware had a set of studs in the right size including having the unequal sized threads at each end.

I have also used these - as you can get them in longer lengths and they have a hex drive - they are pricey for some folks however.

I think i found some decent studs , now I just need to get this slant back together one more time.

I'm with Greg, the ones at McMaster Carr are good and have the Allen hex drive in the ends which is helpful. I used them. They also are 150,000 psi strong - not a bad idea to start with fresh ones that haven't undergone years of heating and cooling cycles, they sometimes get brittle and break off in the head.
