Do you need more picks than what is posted on the front page????

Those aren't that bad. What specifically are you having problems with?
Do you have the FSM for a 1976 or 77 Super Six?

custom throttle cable bracket made my ceej and fopar. i use a lokar cable insted of a kick down. the throttle return spring bracket is off a v-8 kick down that i modifed to work. slantsixdan has posted an awesome electric choke kit for the 2bbl in the slanted network part of this forum.

hey thanx for the pics guys, on my car there seems to be a rod that goes to the tranny just under the fire wall(drivers side) it was attached before but after i attached the new carb do i need that-wat ever it is--anymore?
i think its just a kickdown linkage but i dont seem to need it, but im not really sure

If I understand you correctly, that is the kickdown linkage for the automatic tranny. If you have an automatic then you need it; if you have a manual then you don't

Hello and welcome.

First, read this article. It will answer most of your questions about converting from a one barrel to a two barrel.

Here is how the linkages attach to the carb:

You must also adjust the kickdown linkage once it is installed:

Good luck and feel free to ask any more wuestions!

If i'm reading you correctly, you have the old 1 BBL kickdown linkage. You're gonna need a 2 BBL kickdown with all the brackets to make your super six shift right. Your old linkage won't work and I wouldn't recommend driving it much without a new linkage.

yea i have the old 1 barrel kickdown, how much would it be to get all the brackets etc for the two barrel and the kickdown?

The 2bbl kickdown linkage setups are getting tough to find and costly. See this thread for kickdown options.

Thats the only one I could find on ebay. It's very pricey. I think people are fooled because he did a good job cleaning it up. They don't usually go for that high but if you need one now then your options are slimmer.

Wow, ESP47, your right, that is very pricey. I bought my super six set up, that I plan to rebuild, from a pull a part in nashville for $40! And its complete!
