Post subject: | My 74 Duster (First Car) |
Hey, I learned how to post pics, so I thought I would post some pics of my Duster. Its nothing fancy. Its got new floor boards in the front, new carpet, the front seats are from my mom's 93 chevy blazer, an after market radio (not the big boomy kind, I hate thoes), a rebuilt (did it myself, with help) holley 1920, and some other misc aftermarket things like a pertronix coil, platinum plugs, and the fuel line mod thats posted on this forum. I will post some pics of the engine when I get some. This is my first car, and my grandfather helped me with it (or rather I helped him). Let me tell you, it has been one heck of a learning experience. I currently have plans to put in a super six, and absolutly no plans to put in a V8! I sure do love that leaning tower of power! Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5 Pic 6 I hope you like it! |

Excellent! I've always like the Dusters. Just one suggestion... if you replace the Code: ...tags with Code: tags then your pictures will appear inline on the page. Good luck with your project, and give your grandpa a hug, he deserves it. |

Thanks guys. I love my car (as of this writing), but we have a love/hate relationship. 75plyduster, I clicked the link you have in your signature, nice car! The interior and paint definitally look better than mine did, and at least you have air. ![]() ![]() My paint still looks like crap. ![]() I plan for a super six (which I have), but I am not sure how to proceed with that. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks again! |

Question about the seats. Do the seats have a "flip forward" feature to allow easier access to the back seat area? Was the Blazer and S10 or a full size? |

No, they came out of a 4 dr S10 Blazer, so they do not have the flip forward design, but the passanger side slides up so far, that there is definitaly enough room. Lets put it this way, if my grandma can get in it, it has enough room. These seats were out of a 4wd, so the mounts on the bottom are different hights. The only bad thing is, the pass side had to be mounted at a slight angle because of the floor, but its not even noticeable, looking at or sitting in the seat. They were a great deal and well worth the hassel for free! ![]() |

Well, the price was certainly right. Mounting is a bit of a hassle with anything not designed for a Mopar A-body but it's usually worth the trouble. |
