I have two dual-field alternators in my garage, both needing rebuilds. Does anyone still sell rebuild kits for alternators?

The "rebuild kits" you can find at parts stores are trash. Don't mess with them. Either take your alternators to a local auto electrical house for a good going-through, or purchase the parts from same to do it yourself.

Local auto electrical houses are getting hard to find. I will check around.

Thanks Dan!

Unfortunately, I don't see the kits in my latest JCW catalog. The kits didn't include the bearings, but JCW sold them separately.
