Here is a picture of an OD-bellhousing that has been fitted with an adapter ring to accept the smaller 4.35" input bearing retainers. this was done by a machine shop 10-15 years ago.

I talked to Dennis at Wildcat MOPARS and he sent me a bearing retainer that came from a 3 speed something that has the O/D outside diameter and has a 3.7" bolt circle. I had it blasted and replaced the seal. I don't have the car assembled yet but it looks like it will work fine. I don't think he ever said what it came from but if you asked, I'm sure he'd let you know. Mike MAndreas@aol.com |
