Well, all is going good. The carb is done, and the 1bbl stuff is off. Tommorow (hopefully) we will put the 2bbl stuff on! :D

Here are some more pics:

Anyone ever get that urge to take your engine out and make it look better (paint, new valve covers, chrome, etc)?

Well, all is not good!!!!!!! We went to torque the intake manifold to exhaust manifold nuts down and the center one broke off at the base!!! :( I now don't have a car for the next few days, and have to go get the dang thing drilled out! I guess crap really does happen!

Post subject:  The Super Six from Hell

I have played around with this thing too much, and wasted too much time on it. Oh well, whats done is done.

It runs great, except this afternoon, I was taking a friend home, when all of the sudden, shake, no power, and no power steering. Oh, "CRAP"! (edited for children) the engine stalled, and would start after 15 min, but did not stay running. It turns out, the carb over heated and spewed gas everywhere. I was stranded at my friends house for 2 hrs waiting for the thing to cool down. I have done the fuel line mod (before SS upgrade), and am going to try a lower degree thermostat, and see if that works. Any suggestions?

Haha, this is my 225th post! :D

Be sure you have the insulating gasket under the carb and also be sure the heat riser isn't stuck in the on position.
