I was wondering if there was any headers that are conpadable with the stock 1bbl intake, the car is a 65 dart.

Thanks

The easy answer is that you only have 1 choice anyway for a header. That is a Clifford shorty set if you have a 198 or 225. If you have a 170 there are no headers currently being made for the early A body.

A header will work fine with a 1bbl intake. You won't have choke heat, but that is really not a big deal. I ran one myself for quite a while.

If you absolutely have to have a choke, Dutra Duals are a great option. PM Doctor Dodge on the site for details. :D

Get Dutra Duals instead of headers.

Hooker makes headers too. They are more expensive though. What ever happened to the 6 into 1 headers? I want a set of those. I would rather do the headers, because the dutras are similar in cost, and you have to do that front manifold work. Thats just me though.

Hooker doesnt make 170 headders, Dutra has both front and back cast manifolds so you just bolt them on. Some people want to save some coin so they just buy the front from Doug and modify their own back manifold.

I have the Hooker headers and I am quite happy with them. But then again I only drag race my slant, it is not steet legal. If it were a street car I would use the Dutra Duals.
