I have been installing my super six setup the past 2 weeks on and off given my time available. I made sure everything lined up well and sealed well. When I let the car run bout a minute and it starts to get hot, white smoke appears pretty strong and smells like something burning (almost like paint) it appears to be coming from the exhaust manifold but not from the back but rather the top like its overheated. It was sprayed good with the appropriate paint (cast iron stove paint). Is that safe to let it burn off like that or do I have another problem? I'm just afraid of a fire occurring.

normally when painting an exhaust manifold with either VHT or Wood Stove Paint. you want to run for 10mins, shut off & let cool, run for 20mins shut off & then run for 30 mins then shut off. mine smoked like all hell, even tho we followed the instructions. but after a few mins of cool down time its solid and does not smoke one bit. and with 800 miles later it looks great.

in my supersix project post there are some great replys from other board members about what kind of paint they used and some usefull info.
