Post subject:  gasket+super 6 swap

my super six swap is under way but i need help with details. I have an aluminum manifold and a set of clifford headers. will be using a holley 2280

my main question is, what kind of gasket should i use for the headers and manifold and where can i get em'?

another is about my distributor. I have an electronic one now, but have no idea on what kind would make it perform better. after some research on this board ive seen that adding an msd 6AL isnt a bad idea. what do you guys think?

The EI one is about as good as it gets unless you are going to go to computer control and a crank trigger....

Taking the time to rework the springs and vacc. advance to get the most out of your ignition system and timing is where your focus will be... there
is no 'over the counter' part to replace the dizzy with... so you'll be
doing a search and looking over the posts related to the distributor recurve process and maybe getting a second dizzy to work over and have your current one handy while you 'test and tune'.

It is very much worth your while to get either the good Australian gasket or the Remflex gasket for the manifolds-to-head junction.

MSD6A is a stronger ignition than Mopar EI, but MSD reliability is spotty. HEI is better than Mopar EI and on a par (performance-wise) with MSD, with lower cost and generally better reliability if you do the installation carefully with good-quality parts.
