Post subject:  Year/model for cop brakes

Does anyone have a year/model/engine size of car that came with cop brakes? I need this to help lookup some parts...darn autoparts store newbies.

Thanks.

If you want 11.75" rotors and sliding calipers ask for 1979 Chrysler Newport stuff. The Newport is a late B-body like the Cordoba. Brake hoses need to be for an A-body though.

Thanks -- were these standard on the Newports, or just an option?

Is there a specific bore size for the 11.75" calipers?

11.75" rotors are standard on the '79 Newport. The '76 and later sliding caliper have larger pistons than the earlier ones.

Yep, big boats got big brakes standard...

You might look to see if car-part.com has a wrecking yard near you for the claws... I seem to remember Hillsboro Auto Wrekcing may have what you need...
