I was looking over my engine recently, and spotted this orange colored spot on the block, just below the head behind the coil. I wiped it off, and to my surprise, it said "Remanufactured" on it. The engine looks quite old, so I am assuming it was put in when the car was it was fairly new, but I am not certain. Whens the last time someone still remanufactured slants?

Here are some pics:

Pic 2

The numbers on it are: 586036
and down in the left corner of the tag, tiny numbers read: #1227

Can anyone tell me where this tag came from and/or what the numbers mean? Is this a Chrysler reman engine?

dusterguy225,

did you ever find out where your engine was remanufactured?

I'm asking because I found the exact same sticker on my Ford FE 428. It reads "Remanufactured 320231 #1227"
