I was wondering how balanced a fully dresses slant is? Has anyone ever had one on a set of scales?
Just curious how the leaning effects weight in a car.

I think it would show up if you put a car on 4 corner scales. Don't recall anyone posting they had done that here.

I know Mike has probably had his cars scaled, but he never said anything about the RF being heavy.

I bet Lou has probably scaled his '64 too.

I'll be scaling the Daytona next spring before we run it. I'll have to see what happens.

Cornerweights are pretty good side-side. The Slant offsets the driver, which is usually a problem with V8s and other symmetric engine layouts. My '64 is perfect side-side, and '68 is a bit driver side heavy actually. Need to be on my other computer to check weights.

Cameron Tilley has the opposite problem, and has a really hard time getting balance since he sits on the same side as the Slant!

Yeah, but that's a rail. I think the number of existing slant powered dragsters can be counted on one hand.

Well Joshie225, that is true, but the reason for the inquiry was for a FED. So thanks for the info Dolmetsch. It really shouldn't matter what it's in. Either a slant is heaver on the rt side or not from slanting.
I suppose you don't permanently mount the driveline untill you get the weight balanced within the chassis.
