I am trying to track down a table listing all the various list numbers for Holley 4360 cabrs and their original application. The Holley 4360 was never a factory option and was astrictly retrofit carburetor.

I have been doing some research and it appears that the various versions of this carb differ only in main jet size, power valve timing and operation, and the size and length of the transfer slots. Each variation was calibrated for a different application with some being calibrated for v-6 engines and others for v-8 engine with displacements from 230-455 cubic inches.

So I am hoping that someone has a service manual or sales sheet or somthing that identifies what application each list number was originally calibrated for.

I think this carb has great potential for use on a slant if the proper calibration can be found.

Reed; I've got a Holley factory referance manual that tells me carb application by list number. It's dated 1979, so it won't cover anything newer than that. It also covers only OEM Holley applications. I can look up your list number and see if it's in there.

I am including a list of all the list numbers I know of that were used on the Holley 4360. My list comes from a 1980 S-A Design Book, "Holley Carburetors" by Dave Emanuel. I do know the original application for a very few of these list numbers, and looking at the tables of jets and gaskets indicates that most of the 4360 models used the same parts. However, some of them, like the ones for V-8 engines, have wider transfer slots and different main jets, power valves, and accelerator pumps were used for diferent original-intended applications.

I am trying to figure out what is the "best" verison to try on a slant six. I have heard that the jets in these are interchangeable with Weber jets, so i know I can get different jet sizes, but the accelerator pumps, power valves, and transfer slots are pretty much fixed. I can drill out the accelerator pump shooter nozzles, but that is a one-way operation. Parts for these carbs are extremely limited.

I assume some of the differences are things like electric vs. manual vs. factory chokes, Ford vs. Chevy vs. Dodge throttle and kickdown linkage compatibility, etc... I figure any one I use will ned to be modified to work correctly on a slant, but I am trying to get as close as possible on the first try.

0-8677 - 1977 1/2, fully electric choke, looks like some sort of hot idle compensator - later Buick even-fire V-6. This one looks very promising. The fully electric choke plus the fact it was intended for a six cylinder motor of 230 cubic inch displacement means it is ideal for a slant six.

Well, I got shot down pretty quick on this. My book jumps over the first three on your list, and stops at 7514.
I wasn't too certain we'd get anywhere with mine, being as it is for OEM applications.

No problem. I am finding out that there just isn't much info about these carbs out there. That's ok. The majority of them have the same jets and other specs, so I will just work with what I have.
